SWPBIS General Information

 

In Bristol Township Elementary Schools, a system of School-Wide Positive Behavior Instructional Supports will create a climate of cooperation, academic excellence, and social-emotional competence.  Through explicit modeling of behaviors and expectations, students and staff will be respectful, responsible, safe, and prepared, and will persevere in all academic and social endeavors.

 

SWPBIS stands for School-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention Support. SWPBIS is a research based, proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture needed for all students in our school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.  SWPBIS places emphasis on prevention of problem behavior, development of pro-social skills, and the use of data-based problem solving for addressing existing behavior concerns. This program reinforces expected school behavior and creates a better school atmosphere. 

 

 

Students at Mill Creek are PAWSome! They show school-expected behaviors like being PREPARED, having a good ATTITUDE, making WISE Choices, and staying SAFE. They are rewarded and celebrated for their positive school behavior! The students get PAWS bucks to spend at the PAWS store. The best part is that students get to choose the rewards they want, and it is free for them!
