"Our prime purpose in this life is to help others.  And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." - Dalai Lama

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the school social worker for Mill Creek Elementary School, serving students in grades 3rd through 5th.  A school social worker is a certified professional who supports students academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.

As a school social worker, I interact with students, teachers, parents, and community agencies on a daily basis to ensure that students’ needs are being met.  I provide individual and group counseling to students in areas such as social skills, anger management/relaxation, friendship skills, organizational skills, dealing with life changes, and coping with grief.

I also assist parents with medical applications, provide referrals to outside agencies (e.g., counseling and Big Brothers/Big Sisters), and connect families to various resources (e.g., food banks).

If you ever have any questions for me or would like me to work with your son/daughter, please contact me at 267-599-2440.  I look forward to working with you and your child.
