Welcome 1st Grade Superstars!
We are going to have a great school year so far!
First grade is an exciting year full of tremendous growth.  I can't wait to see your child shine all year long!

Specialist Schedule

Day A- Library 1:20-1:50  (return books)

Day B-  Computer Lab 1:20-1:50

Day C- Art 1:20-1:50

Day D- Physical Education 1:20-1:50 ( wear sneakers)

Day E- Music 1:20-1:50
Snack

Please pack a healthy snack for your child each day.  Please provide a napkin for your child as well.  Please remember that we are a nut free classroom.  In class they can have a water bottle with them (no juice please).

Phonics sound: -ut/-ug

  • Red Ribbon Week is this week. If you wish, your child may participate in our theme days listed 
  • Book Fair Begins  October 19th and ends October 27th

 Monday: C - Wear Sweats to School

Spelling: write each word 3 times each.

            Math: worksheet (Boomerang Folder)

100 Book Challenge: Students will read their 100 Book Challenge books for 15 minutes.    Write one first grade sentence about your book. (Ex. This book reminds me of when I went to the beach this summer.)

Tuesday: D - Wear Crazy Socks

Spelling: Brainstorm and write three words for each phonics sound.  (ex. hug, bug,… ) (ex. nut, hut,…)

            Math: worksheet (Boomerang Folder)

100 Book Challenge: Students will read their 100 Book Challenge books for 15 minutes.    Write one first grade sentence about your book. (Ex. This book reminds me of when I went to the beach this summer.)

 Wednesday: E – Unity Day: Wear Orange

Spelling: Triangle write your spelling words.

            Math: worksheet  (Boomerang Folder). 

100 Book Challenge: Students will read their 100 Book Challenge books for 15 minutes.    Write one first grade sentence about your book. (Ex. This book reminds me of when I went to the beach this summer.)

Thursday:  A – Wear Sports Team/Jersey  BOOK FAIR

Spelling: Have a grown up give you a practice spelling test in your homework   book.     This should        include all your spelling words and a couple with the –ug/-ut           phonics sound.

            Math:  worksheet (Boomerang Folder)

Friday: B – Wear Red Day
